The day was planned since few days before. We went to play padel in Budapest, my first time here, second time in my life, but I think it was a great couples activity idea for a rainy autumn Friday.
My morning was busy with my work, and I was looking forward to the beginning of the weekend. Once I was done with my work, I cleaned a bit the apartment, and put my sports clothes on. I have gathered cool sports clothes from Decathlon, and I was happy to put them in. As the years are passing, I do realize more and more I like the comfort of sports clothes.
Fridays are also the day when kids spend time with the grandparents, so with my husband we try to organize some couple activities.
I didn’t know where exactly we have to go, the only thing I asked was if the place was i doors, and in deed it was. Wouldn’t have been so much pleasing playing outdoors in the rainy weather.
I enjoyed the ride across the city, quietly and admiring what I see. Budapest is a beautiful city even on this rainy weather.
We had to drive to Buda side of the city. The padle place was in some hangars, but before that we had to pick up our couple friends.
I found out from my husband that there is this app, where you can book your day of when you want to play paddle in Budapest, or any other place, like in Malta, he was using the same app. I like the place, was clean and decent, and there were some other people already playing the game. There was an older couple, I admired them. I supposed this could be another thing we do with my husband when we get old, if God gives.
There was a code to enter the door, and we all got changing rooms, which had even shower.

We had 90 minutes. We took time to warm up, as besides my husband, nobody else was good at the game it took a bit more time before it actually started being fun. But without a doubt the next time should be better. As always, practice is a master of perfection, even though we are not looking for perfection, just some fun.
We eventually had a great time. After 99 min of trying to play padle we had to leave the court for the other people that had booked it via the Padle app.

My husband also showed me the app he is using, Playtomic, and it is an app that is being used globally by many people. There is a whole community and the app is so cool. Each user has his own profile, and they gain points with each round played. Besides that, based on your location you can find available courts and book for certain date and time.
You can also find a team or opponents to play against. After the game if over the user needs to enter the results manually, but than they are getting an average score which is shown on the profile and many other data which helps in other users evaluate your strength as a player. All of my husband’s records were since when he played in Malta, and he can see where other players he has payed before has reached. That is really very cool.
After we had great playing Padle in Budapest for the first time , which I hope is not the last one , we were on our way to our home to have a great night playing some board games.
